Seeking new Section Coordinator for the Criminal Justice & Criminology Section
After several years of successful service, Kevin Thompson has stepped down as Coordinator for the Criminal Justice and Criminology section. His designated successor found herself unable, after all, to take over for him, so we are now seeking another WSSA member to head the section. Papers and panels proposed for the conference must be submitted, to a specific section, through the links embedded in each Section's information, on the "Sections & Affiliates" page of our website.
Until they are changed on the evening of September 25, the submission links inside each section's information will still connect to the portal for the 2021 conference.
Seeking new Section Coordinator for the Sociology Section
Dr. KuoRay Mao, after many years of excellent service as Coordinator of the Sociology section, is stepping down. WSSA seeks a new Coordinator for the Section, preferably someone with at least several years as a presenting member of the section. New Student Grant & Awards Coordinator chosen: Ngozi Akinro
Ngozi Akinor, Ph.D., MBA, is the candidate chosen to be the WSSA's new Student Grant & Awards Coordinator. She is an Associate Professor of Mass Communication, and Student Media Adviser- Rambler TV Faculty Adviser, at Texas Wesleyan University, in Fort Worth, TX, USA. She will be "leaning the ropes" from the former Student Grant & Awards Coordinator, Dr. William Schaniel, who stepped down to become the 2021-2022 Vice-President/Secretary of the WSSA Executive Council.
